What has happened?

So I have been away from cycling for a good while now, must be close on 10 years. Now getting back into it and hoping my daughter is going to enjoy it as much as I do. I started browsing the interweb and I must say I’m pretty shocked. No more ROAG, no more Hill2Hill, what has happened. 
ROAG was awesome, easy to see upcoming events and plan which races were up next, Hill2Hill was my first big race I ever did, I managed to finish in over 9 hours if I remember correctly, it was an absolute killer for me just starting out, but the sense of accomplishment at the finish made every drop of sweat worth it, a year later I finished in a little over 5 hrs and that feeling of knowing how much you’ve improved was unbeatable.

Sorry I am babbling on here, but what has happened to the sport in kzn, where do we go to sign up for races, will Hill2Hill be coming back?

Unfortunately besides the school series ,kZn is a dead zone when it comes to MTB racing .

Besides the schools series, most of SA (excluding WC)  is a dead zone when it comes to racing. 😥

Hill2Hill had land issue on the route. 

Roag simply wasn't making money anymore.
