Probike still do a, um, roaring trade with them and have the lion's share of the market in SA and other southern African countries, HR. They're Called Humbers these days, but they're pretty much unchanged over the models sold over 50 years ago.

This brings back emotional memories....long ago and far away in Pine Street in Durban, there was a bicycle shop called S.H. Francis, and I remember the first picture being displayed there. I spent many little boy hours in there looking and dreaming of my first bike,

As it turns out my first bike was bought from SH Francis, which was cool because they used to put a metal tag on the cross-bar displaying the name SH Francis - some one-upmanship here. It was a 3-speed black Achilles, size 26, my pride and joy!
