Hi all

I am trying to find a cheap way to send my bike back from the UK to CT. At the moment i dont think my airline has a fixed rate for sporting goods so not sure if Emmirates is a viable option presently but was wondering if any of you know of good air cargo alternatives for sending your delicate goods long distance via air?

Presently the cargo service i am using wants to charge me R4000.00 to send it from Gatwick to CT - f.......cking ridiculous when they only charged me R1800 to send it the other wayConfused

so pm me if you have any good affordable leads..

Thanks

Why not call the airline you flying with and check if they will allow it to be checked in with the rest of your luggage. This will work if you still there.

OR else call TNT, their rates are pretty good, ask them for the cheapest options.

The other thing to balance up (if you have the option) is maybe upgrade to Economy Plus / Business as your bike may get flown as your "golf clubs" which are allowed luggage on the ticket class - it worked for me twice... BA Check in staff put the bike box on the weigh in and said, without a second thought, so your 'golf clubs' - how do you carry them around... Maybe the guy was a cyclist, maybe I was just lucky....

Whats this supposed to mean? Or is it just another Rascist Remark, I am proud of who I am, and if you have a problem with it, deal with your issues.

BTW, I always ask for a discount so BLEH to you

Oh and smart mouth, I don't work for TNT, they are a global player in freight forwarding and I use them to import all my cargo out of the US, Italy, Germany and Japan

haha, great, you must love this sensitivity LOL

If I am not mistaken the comment was done relating to those sex hotlines you can call - which all offer you cheap rates. CALL ME! LOL
