calabash Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Please tell me that there is a way to straighten brake rotors. I am really struggling to get my rotors straight.
Dirtbreath Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Toss them. Rotors cost about the same as 2 sets of pads (or thereabouts). You will never get those rotors 100% and just damage your pads. Try pick up some used ones here on the hub. Someone will have some spares lying around.

Tumbleweed Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 agree with the tossing them. you can buy rotor-straightening tools for on-trail repairs. park tool make quite nice ones!
AndreZA Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I want to know what you did to bend it? Apparently you should use a heavy pot on a stove. Put the rotor between the pot and plate and heat it up and then just let it cool down.

Gonna put the hammer away and try the stove trick. Thanks a million for good advice. "If you can't fix it with a hammer then it is an electrical problem!"
