as much as he has the potential to win, I think its going to be a bit of a lottery there, 32 of the world's best riders, you can so easliy be taken out in the first round by a crash......hopefully not tho.

Completely agree with you rock. A slip on the pedal on the start ramp can mean you're out of contention before the first jump. Everything has to go perfectly for a good result. It's all in the start. First 3 into the first corner usually contest the medal places. Luckily for us, Sifiso is one of the fastest, if not the fastest starter in the world. Big threats are the Yanks and Latvians with their depth of talent.

but then the Latvians and Yanks have just as much chance of crashing out in the first round too......and Sifiso's shown he's got some serious BMT

Yep! Luck doesn't discriminate. The more days that go by without a medal for Team SA, the more the pressure piles on Sifiso, who really is a solid medal contender. Well, as solid as BMX racing allows. Like Burry, he's just improved and improved over the past nine months. Let's hope that continues!

I used to race with Skizo, I quit just before he got really fast, ha ha. The man is nothing short of being an absolute machine! He's definitely in with a chance of medaling. But you guys are right, it's def a bit of a lottery. But he's not gonna be slipping his pedals with SPD's on LOL

Here's his UCI World's final:

He's super strong out of the gate!
