The Citizen also carried the story today .... one of the inside pages.

My take, remove illegal structures, then demolish informal settlements as well.

I hit an unmarked traffic circle at night in Bedfordview and did R10 000 damage to suspension and wheels, 'Ek kroek jou really' metro council said tough 'look where you are going!' so I didn't bother fighting for it even though there were no street lights, warnings etc

Okay, so if that thing was so dangerous, why did not more people get injured? So 1 out of 100 people get hurt and now the equipment get the blame.

Would have been nice if the see-saw was still there and someone hid in the bushes to take stats on how many rode it and how many went through the water.

The next time I have an upset stomach I'm gonna plame the council because I had to go through the water and some dirty water gon in my mouth. The council should put up a crossing to make it safe for me.

Who is he gonna sue when he falls off a drop?

god....(at the risk of starting another religious debate)

at the risk of adding fuel to the fire, maybe he should already consider suing god for not giving him common sense!

i have to admit, when i first heard abouth te accident i felt really sorry for the "poor dude" and i do still feel sorry that he's been hurt the way he has, but i don't feel sorry for him as a person due to his reaction to the situation (if that makes any sense).

i have forever lost a few days of my life because of some unidentified rider in the 2006 'shova who over-reacted to a pothole and knocked my front wheel out from under me. i have neither saught this woman out to sue her for making a reckless 90 degree sideways dash of an entire road's width into me, nor have i gone after the durban (ekhuruleni?) municipality to sue them for there having been a pothole. i just see it as "that's riding - shyte happens". i chose to participate in the 'shova. i chose to race. i chose to shunt it in my highest gear (53 chainring and 11 sprocket) and go as fast as i could and i chose to pass the bunch while they were slower than me and i was much faster (per the witnesses - i remember nothing of it)

Maybe we are being perceived as crazy, reckless, wannabe rock stars who willingly do things that could kill us?

if you look at many of the citizen's stories, you will see CNS as the attribution. it stands for Caxton News Service. all caxton's knock-and-drops send their copy to the citizen, which is also a caxton publication.

maybe they should all sue you for the post-traumatic stress they suffered after seeing you bloody and bruised on the road?

Slowpoke' date=' you can sue the council for when you fell of that bridge in DeltaPark. They should have made it wider and with hand railings.

now there's an idea. just how do i explain how many times i'd safely crossed it before? or how many other people cross no problem every day? if i sue then i have to pretend to be a classic wanna-be-american-moron-supreme and i might have difficulty pulling that off LOL
