Hey all....went to look at a beautifull second hand Scott S1 on the weekend and it is in excellent condition. It has a full dura-ace groupset BUT it has a 9 speed cluster.. is this a problem, should I rather look for something that has 10 speed....?

R10k sounds a bit expensive second hand. I wonder what it would cost to convert to a 10 speed? And if it makes Rand and sense?

10-speed does not offer one single advantage over 9-speed. 10-speed chains and sprockets don't last as long as their 9-speed cousins.

The only reason you should be considering 10-speed is to score coffee-shop points and succumb to peer pressure.

I agree 10 speed is rubbish.

Now 11 Speed that is something else, what an innovation, climb like a rocket, desend like an eagle, hammer on the flats like a freight train, sprint like a cheetah.
