This baby is not UCI legal, it's a triathlon bike so it's for any non drafting tri. The aerodynamics are real, this is the road going version of the Aussie Superbike that dominated track racing until the UCI went all retro again.

Is that legal? Isn't is suppose to have a main triangle with three distinguisable tubes?

I used to ride one of those Softrides in the UK! Man that is a quick bike, especially on long races. They have stopped making them now, wish I hadn't sold mine!

Only for road race TT's and draft legal tri events this rule applies. Tri athletes are allowed to use these awsome aero bikes in all their other events.

In the UK you can use them in TTs as well except the British Cycling Federation races. They are also ok in many TTs in the USA except nationals.

 

I nearly bought one of these custom made beasts from Cat Switzerland http://www.catbikes.ch/starte.htm while I was there, but Rudi wouldn't build me a 700c version, only 26 inch wheeled ones:
