I have some neoprene for you. Will mail you my acoustic consultant's contact details.

Where do you buy neoprene. I need some to make fishing reel covers. I have some purpose made ones for the Daiwa Saltega and Exeller but need to make some for the other coffee grinders and Penn type reels. Thickness would be one to two mm

I have a pile of old wetsuits that cant be used any more. They are mostly 5mm. i honestly dont know where to buy neoprene. You get a half mm wetsuit but I doubt anyone would let you touch it for fishing reel covers.

My 1mm is called a speedo!Embarrassed

Thanks Lefty.

I've tried the carpet and rubber mat route and soon' date=' thanks to Dirtbreath, a piece of neoprene. Cork and, balsa wood was also suggested.

Might help to change to a quiter type of IDT? Know thats not what you want to hear....

Living in an apartment block and the locals are not very tolerant of noise from above... I changed my IDT (cateye 1000) to a spinning bike (Cylops PT 300) which creates less noise and vibration. Stand the thing on a thin cork mat and a 15mm exercise mat.
