Groupset Cables

I'm busy building up an old frame with an old 105 9sp groupset. The g/set does not have any cables.

 

I've noticed that Shoprite sells gear and brake cables for next to nothing (they are branded as Raleigh).

 

Will these cables work on the 105 g/set?

 

I don't want to pay high bike shop prices when these things will do the job.

 

I've never done something like this before; are there any tips that the hub can give me that will make my life easier?

If you want to be cheap, then atleast buy the cheap Giant or BBB branded ones at the bikeshop. It should cost you about R80 for brake and gear cables.

Those raleigh ones arnt stainless steel cables...they'll last you two sweaty rides or one ride in the rain..
