I've heard that this is kinda the general information but then they pitch up sooner and hook you up!

Ya they said that there was a "boom" in the area, and now there switch board is ful or something....

If you know people who know people it takes 1 day from applying to installation.

 

I think it helps to belong to Telkom Cycling Club.

 

And the problem regarding the"switchboard"  either the exchange is "full" or there is "no copper" available.  All this means is that the Exchange is full and cannot handle any additional extensions.

 

Go 3G, just stay away from Iburst.

or unless they write you a letter saying they dont have supporting infrastructure in your area

and the worst is my mate 150m down the street have ADSL installed
