Johan Bornman Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 A derailer doesn't count sprockets, it only moves up and down. It doesn't care if you throw 6,7,8,9.10 or 11 sprockets at it. It will work in all cases except with some SRAM shifters that work at a different mechanical advantage.
