At least JHB has sunshine... Almost all the time... Oh... And little to no wind... Unlike CT...

Guess there are pro's and con's...

 

 

 

At least CT has the mountain from which you can draw strength if the need be, but here in Gauteng we have only Rush hour that continues the whole day.

is it just me, or do very few of the roads in jhb have a shoulder? almost all the roads in cpt have a wide shoulder to cycle in?

Most of the country roads have no shoulder - too dangerous by far toride out to Magaliesburg, for example. But they did at least make some cycle lanes out on the Cradle route...

 

BTW have found that CT drivers are FAR more accommodating that JNB ones....but also that CT people are SO unfriendly, in the main! Lived there for a year in Hout Bay and didn't make any friends at all. And I consider myself a friendly dude!

What about Suikerbosrand nature reserve.

Maybe its time for the Joburgers to start meeting early for traffic free rides! Also good natural beauty, and we will have some photo's to post ot challenge the Hout! And of course, we will kill in the hills with that training.
