Where to ride my bicycle

I stay 4-5 km from Delta Park and Braamfontein Spruit, and would like to know where to go for a ride this afternoon.

I've done the Conrad Road to Emmarentia part of Braamfontein Spruit, and going up and down that piece of track for 60 to 90 mins does not appeal.

I'd prefer to go over a specific piece of track once per ride, think I'll  let the recent dust settle before further away on the Spruit.

Logwood, yeah mebbe - will rather dedicate a whole Saturday for a first exploration.

Northern Farm is closed Mon-Fri as far as I know...

So what other options are there, apart from the above?

judging by the last few days' date=' you will need armed escort anywhere on the spruit... [/quote']

Ms Drew made it alive, apparently she ain't no Nancy!

But yeah, that is the question, where else?

Paulshof is on the udder side of da hiway... it is like the outer rim of the solar system to me Embarrassed

Pitty you don't stay in Westrand, could've showed you some new spots. There are guys on Spinman forum that cycle in the Woodmead area over Fridays I think. Check there

Also quite a drive' date=' but Rietvlei is awesome. You won't be sorry.   [/quote']

Beating the traffic from R/burg to Pretoria side, with enough sunshine for a bike ride I see not happening.

I'd keep it in mind though, but for another day Smile

If you're not averse to riding on tar' date=' there are some nice routes in an around Northcliff[/quote']

It is not the tar that is the problem, it is the other tar users.... AND me not being comfy amongst the cages

Hmmm, so no time to travel anywhere, but you want something new?

Maybe you can try your normal route all the way on your back wheel? That'll be something new! LOL

Other that that, do some stair jumping at Emmerentia, then have the thrill of the caretakers chasing you!

I'd love to try something new, but I do not have a time machine. Minutes are of the essence, and this is more about the miles than the smiles.

Where can I park my car in the Paulshof area to get onto the Spruit?

Fritz Pienaar - park there and they'll know exactly where you get on the Spruit and maybe tell you about other routes...

Else from there cycle up Witkoppen and take a left at Cambridge Rd, then a first left again and you'll hit the Spruit...
