I was reading an article on the net from some triathlete in the USA about doping and what you can use that is legal with nearly the same effect. One substance was caffiene, but you would need to drink 40 coffees before a ride and take the kettle along with you. So i started looking for gels with high caffiene content (always used GU before). Then i came across Whasp in Dischem with 100mg caffiene scribbled all over the packet, AND @ 9.50 ronds (was paying 15.00 ronds for GU) i thought i had found the holy grail. So i tired it and it certainly works for me - Now i'm a Whasp junky. "And no i'm not trying to get free Whasp here" If i was going to move a similar product to the cycling masses, i would target the cycling clubs direct,and would try the following. Send each club some boxes of your product as a taster, with each member who tries the stuff has to fill out a short market survey questionaire.Your product will reach thousands of athletes and you will get invaluable market info back in return.I would then open my sales doors to supplying clubs direct for bulk orders of say once a month for payment before delivery at a slightly discounted price - thats good product movement with cash in the bank.Offer a small sponsership to the club kitty and have the Whasp name on the club kit. Currently your product sits on the shelves in some shops next to 50 other products, and an athlete stands there scratching his/her head "mmmmmm i wonder which one i should try" aaaaaaah i laaaaik the blue and silver one and it cost a lot so it must work!!!!! most don't have a clue what they are reading when they read all the technical jargon on the package. I say get them to try it out, then they will use/buy it.

cerv-fan Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Hi Collin,We(Team BOSS) are sponsored by your product, we have used different gel's between us but your gel(green Mamba) works best for us, we drink it because it works but not everyone likes the flavour, I know it is expensive to make a new flavour, but if you can make a green mamba in a different flavour like vanilla, I am sure you will sell more of the product. I will try some of the mamba wasp on the 94.7 maby that N14 will feel like a downhill.
