Mudsimus Posted December 27, 2006 Share 11-2111-2312-2112-2312-2512-27 Dont know if this is what you want. The most popular combination is the 11-23 or 12-23.
pastapouch Posted December 27, 2006 Share Ya , they do. They have the number of teeth on each ring in the casette.
gasant112 Posted December 27, 2006 Share Yip this helps...I am just suffering on the hills flip...and partly I feel it due to this ...
Mudsimus Posted December 27, 2006 Share You can buy the last 3 gears apart ie 23-25-27. This saves you from buying a whole new cassette.

Velouria Posted December 27, 2006 Share yeah, they do, 11/23, or 12/25 (and various others). Look for a marking on the smallest cog in the cluster, and then the largest. If you can't see a marking, count the number of teeth.
Hype Posted December 27, 2006 Share Gasant were you riding down Suikerbossie towards Sea Point on Sunday morning at about 8am ? Thought I saw you as we passed going the other direction.
gyro Posted December 27, 2006 Share Gasant - if u have something like a 21 as your big ring at the back then you'll struggle on the steep sections. for me a 12-25 is perfect for the routes/races in and around the peninsula (chappies, uo kaapse, rdhill, etc.)
gasant112 Posted December 27, 2006 Share Hype ..that was me yes ...Sat..I done 140km and was suffering like a mother up hellshoogte..Sunday I decided to have a easy ride went to the top of Chappies came back and SOW the Black and the Orange the Big and mighty Club100 ...I could not resist...and had to tag along but "FLIP".....The pace was tooo strong.. Hype Posted December 27, 2006 Share Gasant the pace was pretty quick up Suikerbossie ..... but faster up Chappies ! I guess that most guys are pretty fit by now ... plus you get the ego factor. Generally the rides are very sedate on the flats but once it turns upwards the ego's kick in and it suddenly becomes a frenzy. Why don't you come and ride from Constantia this Sunday ? Hype Posted December 27, 2006 Share I spoke to Jonathan Kinnear on Sunday - he won the junior SA champs this year. He says that on average he does 500km a week. There are also top vets guys doing a max of 400km a week. So I think your mileage is way too high. You also seem to be tiring yourself out by riding too regularly. 10-12 hours between rides is not enough recovery time. Try to ride less (maybe discard the evening rides) and add intensity instead. Quality over quantity.
gasant112 Posted December 27, 2006 Share Hype I have been told that ....by the Geroldsteiner boys...Rene Hasselbecher.....too much for me seeing that I am recently back in the game...yip thanks for the feedback on the training topic Hype.. Hype Posted December 27, 2006 Share Now that I know what you look like you will have to work out which one is me on Sunday. You'll just have to ask each guy until you find me .... like finding the fugitive. Clue: I'll be in orange and black kit !
gasant112 Posted December 27, 2006 Share That will be easy .....just look for the one doing all the pulling in front..
