I would like to know if is it better to train (spinning more precisely) after having supper or to train first and then eat?

My wife is doing spinning for the first time and her body is not accustomed to the punishment that us more experienced cyclists' are, and I don't want her passing out on the bike after 10 minutes.

What would the fundis suggest?

how intense is the spinning? You talking about indoor or spinning out on the road?

I suppose she just shouldn't eat something too heavy before ... it's never a good idea to cycle on an empty stomach...

Also, she should see what works best for her... maybe just some fruit before.. bananas are good...

I always have breakfast before I ride, I eat while I ride and if it's a long ride then I'll have banana on roll somewhere around halfway...

If it for loosing weight then she should eat at least 2 hours before she do spinning....

So that way the body use the access weight for energy and if she is just starting out tell her to take it easy ...she dont have to do everything the instructor is doing....tell her to sit back and relax and then fall in again when she can....

Immediatly after the spinning she should have a recovery drink and then have supper....

Hi Fit, as a rookie I need to inform you that the hub is not really the right place to be unashamedly promoting your product/business.  Of course if you are offering hubbers a discount - no matter how small - that is entirely a different matter my brother...

If you excercise to just loose weight and don't really care about doing it for a sport - i would suggest to run before breakfast for 5km or more , or if your really keen on loosing weight do stair running in the morning.

but on the other hand - this is cycling

it has been mentioned - eat normal 2h before the excersise, if its in the morning then just drink water and maby a fruit for loosing weight, but for training fitness one should always be loaded with energy to get the best out of the training.

if all depends on what you want to do. Spinning for fun or spinning to loose it.
