I'm trying to lose weight myself... at 1.82m, and 91kg I'm a tad overweight and suffer on the hills... Saying that though, I've lost 5kg in 3 weeks through eating less (right portions) and drinking more water through the day.

In my job I'm on the road all day and as a result I eat when I can... packing lunch in a little cooler has helped me lose, 'cos it's always on my passenger seat. Ideally I'd like to get back down to 75, where i was when i was commuting every day in London Town. Helluva lot better on the hills like that!!!

Hog, she's right with her preaching, 100%.

My supper at night includes 180g meat, 2 breads (about 1 cup of pasta), and as much veg as you want. If you get creative you can do like home made chinese veg with stirfried chicken strips etc. SO many options, and the weight just keep dropping. The dietitian is actually going to increase my food intake once I reach 75kg, my ideal weight, (I'm 76kg now, 1.87m tall), to get me to maintain and not loose more.

I have always wondered how this works out, do you take a steak and weigh it before you cook to make sure you are eating 180g? ShockedShocked

What is the height to weight  relationship.? If I am 1.72m tall what is supposed to be my ideal weight?Unhappy

According to a clever doctor friend between 67 and 77 - the 10kg bracket provides for bone structure differences!

Meat loses about 10% of its weight, depending how much you cook it

Just did and it turns my MBI is 25 and according to that reading I am overweight.CryCry

But there circumstances that my apply, namely that I do a bit of bodybuilding and have just added cycling as a hectic sport. I guess some of the weight is really muscle gain from all these activities...........Embarrassed

Just do the steak like you usually would, then when you are done, pop it onto the kitchen/digital scale and cut 180g worth of meat off. The left overs can be part of tomorrow mid-morning's meat.

Note though, MY plan says 180g meat at night, yours might be more, or less. No one but a decent dietician can tell you that.

And not all dietitians are the same... Wife went to one two years ago, had to drink gawd afwul "green smoothies" which was liquified seeds and something which looked like grass. GROSS. New dietician, no foreign foods, just right amounts at right time of the day.

So we went to go and see a Dietician about 2 months ago.  She worked out an awesome "lifestyle" eating plan.  Nothing weird' date=' nothing fancy.  That nothing weird and nothing fancy eating plan made me loose about 4.5 - 5 kg and 20.5 cm, and hubby lost about 4 kg. That is in 2 months. I have almost no more clothes that fit me. So shopping spree. Big%20smileBig%20smile[/quote']

Well done that excellent KEEP IT UPClap
