Reading the latter pages of this thread has proven something to me...cycling and insanity are mutually exclusive!

 

Geez you guys can get sidetracked...we went from Trubie averaging 36km/h to singing to Mona! (personally, I'm more of a Billy Idol fan than Air Supply)

So what are the riding arrangements for this weekend? What courses are you guys attacking?

Is RACMAN joining? Will Indigo Kid leave everyone in the dust? Will I recognize Slave now that he has changed his name?

 

Oh...really off topic...what/who the hell is this "Player 23" thats being advertised? I'm baffled by this....

Hey G02 and all (with or without the "2Love"). I unfortunately have to fly down to CT on business on Thursday evening and will be back Monday so will not be there this weekend ... but this is only a postponement as I have a point to prove to Trubie, Slave, Indigo etc ......

 

That I am slower than what I have already stated !!! Reminds me of a Nancy Sinatra song I recall hearing on my folks stereo as a child " Those STEPS are made for walking....."

How's your secret training going ?

So Racman has been frightened and has some excusse called work.

 

I think I'll only be on the road on Sunday, my youngest son is back at soccer and his league has started so I have to travel the east rand on alternative Sat mornings.

So at this stage I'm in for Sunday - long loop.

Will I recognize you ???

GOv2.0, Since my rather long chat with the Oxman, I have taken my foot off the accelerator and slowing down the miles and rather concentrating on a bit of quality.

 

Getting droppedon the steps Friday hurt a bit so I will be going on that loop (Fast) until I can stay with the pack. Then I will go longer and try to stay with them for the durarion of that ride.

 

Also very busy with new ideas and ventures so time is going to become limited for me on weekends. (Cross that bridge when we get there.)

 

RACMAN, dude, I suspect that WW may be right about some of us (with a notable exception in Trubie) being nuts. No matter at all , because one thing we do enjoy is riding bikes. If that makes insanity and cycling mutually exclusive, then so be it. I'm happy being crazy as long as I enjoy riding.

 

I never knew it could be so much fun.

 

Anyway, back to the weekend. Fast short loop for me both days. NExt weekend I will go longer.

I was considering joining you guys for the short loop on Saturday morning but now Racman's faded and slave wants to go fast which means in reality, I'll never keep up.

And remember how he cracked the whip on the Berg bus? He has the capacity to hurt us dude. So, discression being the better part of valour, I'm not about to openly admit any truths about his sanity.

 

Let him live in his dreamworld and think he's sane. We know different, but let's not p!ss him off lest he hurt us on our next group ride.

 

He did look rather "off the wall" that day when he arrived to go skiing on his bike, but sometimes we have to leave well enough alone. The oke scares me some days so please kid, leave it alone.

Yip we leave just after 7am. It's not that cold it's the wind that's the problem.

Hey Kid

 

I'm the Eskom/Sasol kit guy ridding the other Peejou farmgate(Chrome and silver)_.  Did Met up with you and Slave about 2-3 weeks back. Still have to join you guys for a proper ride. Normally do slow shrt loop group on Saturdays and anything goes on Sundays.
