Andy, 'bout 3.5 hrs.

With Kieran and kid towing me, it might be a bit less.

Safe to work on about 3.5 to 4 hours. If we leave at 5, provided I can stay awake on the bike. I should be done in time for work on Monday.

Hey Kid, pssst. C'me're. When did you become a hardcore cyclist dude? Doing SBR, long rides on weekends and even riding with the creme in the mornings?

Want I should e-mail the Doc? Not too sure of invitng neighbour. He may be too slow for Kieran. smiley4.gif

This will be my last long ride before I go away & relax.

I also need to get used to doing 100+km rides otherwise I fade at about the 80km point.

I no longer ride with creme de la creme, they just too fast for me but I'm making progresssmiley4.gifsmiley29.gif. Maybe in a few months I'll be able to ride with them again but I will have to ask permission from you know who as I can't just pitch up - by invite only!!!!

The Doc was wanting to get some distance into those long legs of his so give him a shout.

Slave, that route sounds cool, I take it it includes GO's favourite climb into Heidelberg ?

No, you chop. Did you read, what I wrote / typed?

I am trying not to do the berg. I want to go via the cheese factory, out past SBR and turning right towards Henley. Then back home again.

I plan to ride 1000km for December. Most I have ever done before is just over 900.

Slave, I did read but you know you have to include that Heidelberg climb.

I thought you had forgotten about that climb.

Which ever way but a few climbs will do us good.

Slave I'll be around most of December. Can I join you on the quest? Or part thereof anyhow...

Kieran you better keep an eye on Slave in Dec, make sure he doesn't go and play Bowls. You should also know that if Slave is saying he plans to do 1000km in Dec it actually means he's planning to do 2000+km (1000+km is top secrect training).

He's now going for a sub 3hr 94.7 in 2010 so he's trainning is starting tomorrow.

Cut

Kid' date=' Heidelberg could work. I still have one or two energy bars left from 94.7 and one or two goos as well.

Kieran. you need two bottles for that ride dude. Even my two were not enough for that route kid and I did way back in Feb.

Leave at 5? Kid, I won't even ask the rhetorical question about your sanity. We all know the answer already. [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley18.gif[/img]

For 100km we can go via the race for victory route except that instead of going into the reserve, we continue and include parts of the fast one route. We are training for the fast one after all. Right turn at Henley and head back home.

Er, Andy, touchy, touchy, I was shouting at the blue child. You know how kids NEVER listen.... No? Don't worry dude, one day you will have some of your own and then you will find out.

Kid, the climbs if we go the route I am suggesting are, Lido hill towards Walkerville. The one up past the airfield a la R4V and then the two part the SBR. Instead of heading left to the berg and doing Simons hill, we head right towards Henley. Long drag, not a climb. Next climb is the steps.

I do hills all the time in the week. I am looking for a flatish fast route this weekend. Alternatively, we can always climb Butchers or the Lido hill towards Monder.
