I thought the roads were a little bit too wet at 6-50am this morning when I was about to leave...so I just waited a little before I went out. Seems a lot of people had the same idea coz I saw loads of the usual guys out a bit later too! But Alas, you are correct..I am a softie fader who seems scared of a little water! HummingBird, seems my name should be changed to 'Chicken' As a matter of interest...how many guys rode this morning? And how many people punctured?

I'm not sure of the details, but I'm sure Indigo Kid and Hummingbird will fill us in. Mighty Spoke, I hope your ok dude? Speedy recovery for you dude. Its never nice to hear that another rider has fallen. Hummingbird, dude your now officially a cyclist! A fall is a right of passage when you sign up for this sport. Glad your ok. Our ride this morning was in possibly the worst conditions I have braved in a while! Not pleasant. Good to see all the "Ubbers" back from their Xmas hols and riding again! We were a massive bunch when we set out this morning. Guess everyone is getting ready for the FastOne?! I must say, we have been spoilt for training here in the South these Xmas holidays. Almost every day saw a ride with a professional amongst the bunches. And we have been very priviliged to have had the presence of Lance Armstrongs new team mate Darryl Impey in his new Radioshack kit, as well as Garmins Robbie Hunter. Its a little surreal to be out riding with guys like these around you! But its cooler still to be able to meet up at Xumbugs and have a good laugh with this bunch of Hooligans from the ASGR crowd. Sorry I missed Agteros yesterday.... See you guys on the roads again next weekend!

This was the idea, that the sun dry all the puddles up, but it never quiet worked out like that and i nailed the exact muddy one that hadn't been dried up!!!!Thanks Go, but I've apparently still got a few to go, once heard need to fall 7 times to be a real cyclists, therefore I've got 4 falls left.Mighty Spoke is alright!!!! His bro PM'ed kid and says he has a slight concussion, few chipped teeth and a cut on the inside of cheek!

I'd go out now on your bike and crash a couple more times on the soft grass...and you'll have your 7! Falling is never fun. Glad to hear Mighty Spoke is "A OK!"
