So I went and did the red loop in Harkerville yesterday (Knysna).

26km of MTN heaven with 640m of climb.

The legs were pumping and the bike was humming and we ripped through the trails like a well oiled machine.smiley4.gif

Ended helping 2 couples with broken chain so I believe carma might be good for me in Atta smiley2.gif

Today we are up to 39 degrees with some wind BUT Atta still long way off.

Doing another loop on Friday then 1 loop on Monday with hard 5km run on Wednesday and this should be my taper done.

Race day 16 Jan.

You all should have a good ride this weekend and SBR works for hill training BUT also works for flats.

Flat training works for flat BUT will never work for hills.

With the added fact that you are training at 2000m above sea level and recovering low.

Just my 2cents worth

Predictor best of luck, sure you going to kill them. I'll have a look for your name in top 5.

Kid convinced me now that SBR is such a great idea, many reasons. Looks like i'll be doing a longer flatter ride for the weekend. Also better since will be first ride on fixed bike.

Humming Bird, what longer, flatter route you doing? You should join Slave and I on Saturday morning. We going on a longer, flatter route of about 120km at a speed between 25 and 28kph average although it is not cast in stone.

Ha, you even forgot the word "not" best you change your sentence.

Stopped passed the hospital on my way to work this morning to have a look at our Slave.

He looks ok but the injuries are internal.

How it happened: he stopped paying attention to what he was doing and started to work out how fast he could do 1.5km in, when he looked up he was headed for the pavement. He hit the pavement and fell on the left side of his body, he was doing about 40km/h.

Andy looks like your slave ride is now out, would you like to come and join us? 120km is slightly took long as i think i'll be lying next to slave if i have to attempt that. Maybe 70 + ?

Humming Bird, you could join me for the ride, except I don't know the route. smiley36.gif So I guess I have to just ride with you lot now. Where are you riding from? Is it possible to do about 80/85km? Andyr2492010-01-07 02:24:55

My sense of direction isn't so great, so we might end up at the vaal river eventually.

No idea where we riding from, I'm still waiting for kid to let me know. Nancy Drew and Joe Low might also be joining us so I'm guessing Rietvlei is a good idea.

Trubie you riding on the hybrid?

80/85 km i'll do with you as long as we not racing it, and i can suck wheel for the last few km smiley2.gif
