I think it's pretty scary stuff when you judge something without knowing all the facts, but hey, us humans do it all the time. It's probably one of our better skills since we seem to be so good at it. (No Chippy, this is not a dig at you. I speak from my own personal experience.) JKust keep the whole thing civil OK Andy. No rocks and bricks and bike chains until I say so, 'K? I know kid wants to rattlt eh bike chains but that's how we know and love him.

I believe what he called me was a "toss". Chippy, please define what you mean by "toss". Of course shouting "car" is relevant. However what you went on about was not relevant. The issue of the attitudes of motorists and cyclists is a different issue to the one under discussion. We can debate that as well after this if you would like. Although since you brought it up, prima facie it would seem like you are the type of cyclist who would react aggressively to a motorist based on the attitude and uncivil way in which you are debating this issue, calling me a "toss" amongst other things. I didn't admit he was wrong. Remember my example about killing you if you attack me? Yes, I still killed you. But my liability is negated due to private defence and/or necessity. Same in Trubie's case. Swerve away from the riders who cut infront of him or brake hard and swerve back into the bunch and creating an even more dangerous situation. You seem to rate your cycling abilities very highly. Do you race much? Oh, and as an aside, people in the legal profession have been called worse things than "toss" so you might want to find another name for if you want to "play the man rather than the ball".

Cycle Lab is "the biggest national cycling club" and there are many 'rello's on the road... Andy is also a good guy and far from "toss." Slavey just really enjoying my cycling dude

DomJBo Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Chippy, I haven't been around lately, but I was at the incident on Saturday. I was riding 2nd in the bunch and didn't hear a single call for a car. In defence to Trubie he might have not heard anything. He was also not the only one passing the group there were 3 or 4 others. Did he endanger yours or any of your relatives life? Not that I'm aware of. Did the driver of the vehicle complain? Not even a single hoot. When you ride, worry about yourself! Were you with the group of riders that went short on Sunday? Because you would have something to complain about. I think this guy associates with Mona.

Trubie moet jouself nie hieraan steur nie. Just to add to Slaves comment that I have riden with Trubes and this I am sure off, that he wouldn't have made such a move if it wasn't necessary! So we riding this weekend?

Thanks for the wish Andy, enjoy your weekend riding. Tachy hopefully riding this weekend, hurt my finger so we'll have to see. I hope Kieran aka The Machine remembers is when he's basking in the glory! Buddy you must bring some of those lady riders down south, more motivation to hang onto the back of the group.
