Slave, I've always contested being called Oxman. I'm agteros, implying not leading, but eventually getting there as well. Oxman implies strength which i've also always denied.

It seems that this is the year for crashes. Between myself' date=' Ricky Bobby and one opr two others, we got the ball rolling.

Now just about every other day there is a crash / injury / little lie down. Like WTF? What's going on around here? Ha-ha Kieran is not smiling or laughing right now. Sounds painful and damage to the bike, Oi gavey. [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley18.gif[/img]

 

And after more than a year or so Agteros, tells us he doesn't like being called Oxman, backward Ox or Yster.  Dude, Os in English is an Ox, you are a man so you're our Oxman. Oxman = Buddy.

 

Wouild you prefer we call you Ironless Ox? (or are you just being your normal contrary self here?) Ok, we get it, you are the chief contender for the wooden spoon award.

Agteros, as humans are, we tent to be lazy. So typing AGTEROS, is a lot more of a lenghty process that Oxman. (Less letters.)

When I had my long winded login, it was abbreviated to S2L and all sortsa stuff.

 

The fact that I couldn't care less what I'm called on the hub is maybe just my way. Just as in the real world, people abbreviate my real name. It's not a big thing to me.

 

Andyr249, I decline to accept that invitation. If people are falling off their bike and stuff, then I have little to do with it. I can only claim responsibility for my own fall (Both of them) hte first was very much my fault, the second, I just happened to be in the right place ......

Ok, so now something I wanted to share on Monday but got side tracked with all these falls and accidents.

 

On my way home, I ride down Camaro. (Yep, that steep mine shaft of a hill just south of Rosettenville.)

 

So on Friday, Im just freewheeling behind all the cars and this youingish chap - maybe around 10 or 12 is sitting in the back of (obviously) Gran's car. He turns to look at me for whatever reason. He then looks at the speedo over grans shoulder, and then looks at me again, eyes a bit bigger this time. Looks at the speedo again and so on. All this time I am pretty close to the back of the car with the brakes almost full on.

 

All this time he's checking out the speedo and the eyes get bigger each time. The look on his face when I accelerated past them going past the camera was priceless.

Er, my keyboard has a daily limit of strokes and I'm colour blind.

 

Yesterday, I must have been ahead of or behind you. I left home at 6 instead of the usual 06h10 or thereabouts. Left home just after 6 again this morning. Good thing too. Got a puncture on Klipriver near Southdale and still made it to work on time.

 

Where were you yesterday morn? Didn't see trubes either. Oh, and Monday, I got a ride in a car. No cycling Monday. Go figure, they close down my dept working out of Ormonde and a week later SO gets a job in Ormonde.
