Yes, that is why I asked if you were near Northcliff yesterday morning. Nancy Drew and I saw two Jose Cuervo riders on our ride.

I take it you are one of the East riders?

Lol. Poor Gavin indeed!

Slavey are you still working at Melrose Arch? Its on my way home and I have the bike rack on the back of my bakkie :) can get you the tyres at the same time ;)

Just give me a shout what time you will be leaving today and we can make a plan :)

Hey Kieran. I can be ready whatever time. I usually leave at around four pm and I have a few things to do. I find that if I travlel by car, I need to be out of here by about 3:30 to miss the traffic.

On the bike it's ususally ok to leave later because the bike is small and agile enough to zip in and out of congested traffic. :)

Bugger I will only be out here after 5 so may not work... Unless you want to pull past and taste all the new Starbucks coffee flavours on offer ;)

What is the problem then? Bontrager wheels perhaps? ;)

Seems I was correct about your wheels taking some time to come back from Cape Town. It is after all the "Mother City" (takes 9 months for them to accomplish anything)

So, maybe if the Princess is willing to forgive and forget, maybe you can go wheel shopping with her, buy yourself that set of new wheels you were  over.

Then, one day, when your wheels find their way back from the Mother City, you can keep those as spares and I'll happily alleviate you of the Bontregers. :)

Well, choices are limited. Either do a McGiver job and take the risk riding home, or be lazy and wait for you, or take a lift with my colleague and leave the bike here for the weekend.

Hmm, choices, choices. Eeny Meeny miny mo.....

Er, I think it's a no brainer. I'll wait. Nice easy ride home in a bakkie, with the bike so I can repair, adjust and ride on Sunday. :D

Clearly the last option is the most attractive.

Or get rid of the Eastons all together and get a set of Gipiemme's from me   ;)

Cool, So you can leave your Bontregers with me on Sunday After the ride. :D

I just want to mention a helping hand cyclist from my little episode this morning.

Geoff,a young MTB cyclist stopped on Main Reef Road Heriotdale, to offer assitance with my little problem. He was not riding his bike at the time. I asked him because no-one else was interested in helping a fella out.

Thanks Geoff, you are a scholar and a gentleman and I am really glad to see that there are some youngsters out there today who are still well mannered, friendly and helpful. :)

I was able to work out a solution to the problem that took me from there to Higlands north some distance away before I had another two flats in quick sucession. That was when I gave up and decied to hoof it.
