This is what makes them such strong riders / cyclists and racing snakes. I try and keep up with them some days and always end up getting my butt kicked.

 

Ok, i have more questions. What are an 'eddy' as mentioned by Haha?

What is a NR as mentioned by mr Slave?

 

Eish, angaaz (Means I have no frikking idea.) If it happened more than ten minutes ago, it's inadmissible. Probably a typo or some junk. Looked for it to find the context in the hope that it would inspire the original thought process but I'm half blind and completely stoopid today. And it looks like the train of thought got completely derailed. Probably not all that important since I talk cr@p most of the time anyway.

 

 

Cheese factory?

 

If you ride towards the Lido,turn left on the old Vereeniging JHB road, turn left again after Walkerville and head towards Walker Fruit Farms, once past W/ville, there is a road that goes left. There used to be a cheese factory on that road so it's referred to as the cheese factory loop. Slightly shorter than going straigh past John Bosco's and towards the circus farm. Follow the road and it will bring you back to the Alberton - Meyerton road. Turn left, got through Klip river (the place) and carry on straight up the steps.

 

So, it looks like it will be the short loop for me. Just have to decide which buncha loons I am going to be riding with. Are y'all headed back to Rietvlei afterwards for a choc shake and a chill?

 

Hannah, why not join me for a short loop at a nice sedate pace with the slow bunch. I can manage that.

 

To help you identify which loon I am, I'll wear my SA flag Sweat band around my neck. Blue Panda Kit and Trek SLR. The one that Ben says looks like a farm gate.

It will take Hummy exactly 30 seconds to catch and pass me even if he starts 30 seconds behind me.

 

Thanks, but I will be waking up around the time you guys get to start your TT and will them amble off to Xumbugs for a nice quiet short loop. With a bit of luck,I might find that group of 6 riders I rode with last time and have a nice sedte ride around the short loop before heading home for a recovery nap. No doubt, I will soon become the recipient of the pink blouse from Big S. (Until I can find another reason to give it back to him.)

 

If you do the long Bosoc loop, it will take you past the circus. What are the plans after that?

I am riding on the weekend but like i told Trubie and Andy i have arrangements to meet some other lady riders who ride with a club. If i see you i will say hi of course but i am going to ride with them. I think i need to join an official club and i am taking Trubies advice for now.

What is the matter Slave? Where is the old Slave who used to chase down trucks and ride fast? A sedate short loop. What would happen if I were to do that? Bet you would race up the steps again. And I would have the Specialized!

Those are the numbers. You need to come up north and I can show you route where you climb the equivalent of SBR if not more. Max gradient over 20%.
