thanks guys, but with only 200 teams starting and about 180 or so finishing, its not so hot. We were miles off the winning time of 9:18. Our cat - open men had 36 teams starting, we were sitting in 17th before the TT, with a 7 sec lead to no 18. We lost it due to Gareth's chain coming off at 5.5k's and we lost some time.

I suppose, not having gone to race puts it in perspective, but if I look at some of the results we could have done much better. Out downfall was day one where we lost plenty time, I had a really k@k day. If that had been better, who knows, maybe top 50 was possible!!

Before the tour started i made some stage predictions and we never finished far off these.

Stage 1 - 3:50 - 4:00 (4:04)

Stage 2 - 2:40 (2:18)

Stage 3 - 4:00 (3:53)

Stage 4 - 0:50 (47:44)

I was lucky that I had a good partner and we complemented each other well. Helps a heck of a lot.

Trubie I think you should change your name to Mountain Goat.

You a serious cyclists dude, climbing walls in the rain - huge respect.

Well done !!!!

Lastly just remind us what groupset Sonic uses ?

I rest my case ;) ;)

Trubes, you didn't go to race. (your words) so your efforts AND results are commendable.

Now FFS stop sounding like someone I know who was very miffed with a 94.7 result a while back.

Maybe it all about partners, maybe not so much. Yes, you need one, but you had to cycle as well. (No disrespect intended Sonic. Like I said, well done to all those who got there and competed in and completed.)

Hindsight is so easy. What you did took courage and training. You completed a tough stage race that many of us will never even attempt.

Something worth bragging about.

thanks all

Sonic will be quick to let you know that my Campy GS also gave some trouble, fortunately it being Campy, we managed to fix it with a rubber band.... Now if it had been something else, that would have been race over ;)

Had some news last week that may scupper the plans to be part of the DC team  .... just waiting for final confirmation of our annual IT leadership team meeting dates in Dubai

Hopefully with some luck they will not clash!

Well done Trubie and Sonic on a great Panorama!

Despite whatever you say it was a great achievement and one that you can be proud of!

What is news and what have you all been up to while I was away? Seems like you lot were quiet and possibly all doing secret training!

Slave where and what were you doing in Bryanston? Who approved your visa?

Andy, a gentleman never kisses and tells. I was visiting a friend who approved my visa for the day.

Slave, since I was away I will let give you an exemption for this one time. For future reference anyone staying in the north can grant visa but subject to final approval by myself. Since I was not here to give final approval I will let it pass this time.

Btw, I need money from visa applications to finance cycling just the same as Kid. ;)

Most of the team is unavailable so you'll have to do your own thing or you can join me.

But you need to do at least 200km this weekend
