now go play with your pink feather boa in a corner with your little supporters int he chit chat section of the forum instead of attempting to incite a flame war. i'm tired of your pathetic little attitude' date=' which i know has resulted in certain other people already leaving the hub.

geez... talk about getting personal.  That's just plain condescending and nasty....

I'll probably get flamed for sharing this opinion too (since I fall into the ranks of little supporters), so maybe I should just skip off to the chit chat section to go play with HR and mud dee..

Hope Steve recovers soon

that nice' date=' krautAngryyou got anger issues like someone else on this thread?Tongue[/quote']

Nah, I huff & puff down the Spruit every morning and afternoon, have a bike park behind my house, and a few bikes in the garage. Nothing to be angry about!

It's amazing that each time a traffic spokesman talks about an accident involving cyclists they mention ten things cyclists must do and maybe one for motorists.  Shows you the general attitude of authorities  towards cyclists!  Then again' date=' how many cyclists actually do any of these things?

"Merle Lourens, traffic services spokesperson, said cyclists should ride single-file, stop at red lights, use hand signals and wear bright clothing.

Motorists should respect cyclists and make space for them."

Insane... On my daily commute, I lose count of the increasing number of motorists who don't stop at stop streets or red lights, who don't indicate, who squeeze next to each other in a single lane.... If I never drive a car again it'll be too soon...

Things the Police never mention after another one of us gets whacked on the roads:

"The research showed that nationally motorists tested positive for alcohol in 28 percent of the 269 cases tested, whereas positive drug results were obtained in 14 percent," the report said.

"After alcohol, amphetamines, methamphetamine and cocaine were the most common drugs of impairment.

"There were 14 cases where drivers tested positive for alcohol and drugs, but there were many more where the drivers tested positive only for drugs. Previously their impairment would have gone undetected."

A Cape traffic official was among four people arrested in Veldrift on Wednesday for the alleged illegal issuing of learner's and driver's licenses, said West Coast police.
