hi there.

 

can any one help me out?

really want to star riding and doing triathlons and looking for a bike.

i am 2 metres tall and weigh 95kg's.

so want to find a bike that fits me properly.

 

found i nice raleigh RC2000 at Cajees cycle corner, 60 cm frame for R4500. looks like really good deal but dont want to be slod something that wont fit me!Sleepy

Well, most road bikes could take your weight. The wheels might suffer a bit tho, as for size, measure your inseam in cm, then multiply by .65 to get your frame size in cm....if ur older than 30 take a 2cm smaller frame than what the .65 gave you, that's my advice.

I presume the 2cm-drop for over-30s is to reduce the top-tube stretch on account for lessened flexibility?

Buy a Cannondale CAAD5 frame in 63 or 66cm. I'm shorter than you @ 1.96, but I'm all legs with a cycling inseam of almost 98cm. I am on a 63cm and I love it. Tried the 66cm, but it felt like driving a limo.

I'm a fair bit heavier than you as well, without issues.

You can't go wrong with a 'Dale if you are a tall bloke.

all teh truly tall riders i've known are happiest on cannondales - and now there are 2 recommending the 'dale here too so that should sum it up - go check out the 'dales and find yourself a 2-wheeled baby Wink
