it is the most godawful thing to find your pet already poisoned. it's destroyed me. i was lucky that i have a vet who lives around the corner from me, when it happened to tumbleweed and alaska.

Did'nt think of SPCA at the time, should have tried them, our SPCA is not too bad. Just keep the dogs in at night and locked up in the back during the day.

It's a pesticide, so-called because after ingesting you take 2 steps before dropping dead.  Guy at work tried it out on his boss and colleagues earlier this yr.

So Di CPD is really: Detective inspector, Crime Prevention Division, then?

Tiny quantities dropped in coffee kept the boss permanently sick for a period of years. Every time he recovered he'd come back to work and go sick again shortly after.

When the perp made his big move against his colleagues he hospitalised and temporarily blinded the one who was first to drink, then the others decided they weren't thirsty.  Apparently the rolling around, screaming and vomitting was offputting.

Sort of scene you get at our house when the Mrs tries a new recipe.

sorry to hear wolfie. That sux. Well, I don't think the robber know anything about cycling, cause there won't be many of that size around! But then again, what do you do should you spot the bike and its new owner?Confused

Sorry to hear of your loss man,

I've just updated my insurance policy, got some new toys for my bike and want them covered no matter what happens. One the bright side, your xmas stocking is going to quite full this year Wink

Haha LOL Di CPD is the person formerly known as "that cow". Retired junior SPCA inspector - there was greatness attached to me until "that $#@! "(female dog" forced me to resign because i was too hard on animal abusers. Apparently you are supposed to have a cuppa tea and make friends. Bugger that - go in get dog, ask questions later!!

I will not bore you with what can kill your dogs but basically - if it takes away your pain or comes from a hardware it can kill. My dog ate Nervuton the other day - 53 tabs - and I flipped until I noticed its all natural. Made him paranoid hyper.

Cheers Di - d'ya think it's best we both commiserate with Wolfie again on his loss.  Sorry Wolfman.

and those who think he's a gentle giant didn't see last year's thread where he fought off 2 attackers on a pedestrian bridge who were trying to get his sandwiches or somesuch.

Nah, they were after my laptop so I went easy on them. Sandwiches would have resulted in me dishing out some  GBH
