Cycling clubs in Boksburg area

Yes,

Fitshack are in Boksburg.  TDF but they got a bit of a reputation (wont comment if justified or not) or even try Germiston wheelers they have rides suited to all abilities with back up vehicles. There used to be a club in Sunward Park but have not seen or heard of them recently.

I am subtle... East Rand style... Like a steam locomotive full speed and out of control...

Yes, sorry, forgot about them. Google it, they have a website, and they are quite friendly and accomodating of beginners. They meet sat and sunday at Birchwood spur for rides.

Ya, but to be fair, he did ask for beginners. I'd sooner send a snowball to hell than say a beginner to a Tour de Frans group ride...

oh well would suggest joining DCB but seeing as we ride with TDF and dont have any organised "club rides" it is not what you are looking for

Yeah, its not the speed of the tdf group so much as the tendency to all fall down at alarming regularity that would make me suggest an alternative for a beginner.

well i have never had that issue of all falling down i just hate the ignorance for road rules and absolute Cr@ppy attitudes of some people in the group that will turn any beginner away from cycling

Opel in my opinion it is not about joining a club to see how the rides are you must be able to go to a group of guys and say can i join and if they have the attitude of um no go play somewhere else then you have a bad group of guys that you dont want to associate with rather go to a few different clubs or group rides and then decide from there if you like the atmosphere or you would rather go to another place
