My goodness all the MTBers were friendly on the Spruit yesterday. Went out with a friend   between Fratelli's and Alberts Farmand had a fun time in the plentiful mud. In fact the mud has made the Spruit much more technical than it's been for a long time.

So where were all the inconsiderate, rude and ignorant riders?

Thery were doing the Fast One. LOL

I loved the Spruit on Saturday morning. Was good to get dirty a bit.

Di CPD, a friend of hers and I where out on the spruit yesterday afternoon. I thought it was fairly quiet. We had a great ride. Got caught in the rain at the end, but if anything that made it even better.

Maybe the "inconsiderate, rude and ignorant riders" where at the Fast One? Wink

I'm a (ex) roadie myself and most of the roadies I know are a very friendly bunch. Maybe it's when inexperienced guys ride the Spruit they have to concentrate. Definitely is not for novice riding at the moment either.

The Spruit was a mud bath on Saturday.

Judging by the smells emanating from my bike and body, I definitely think though that it wasn't 100% mud Wink

I had an awesome Fast One - started in Group R (been doing duathlon and mtb for too long so no road seeding), rode 20km alone then hooked up with two really strong okes (i found out one was GreyOwl at the finish), engaged warp factor 9 and ended with a 2:30! I was rather impressed.

How did you get on?

I gave Great White a lift to the start - at some upgodly hour - I only started at 8H15 Wink

I rode in a support vehicle for the Mr Price Elite ladies (and Michelle Corbit). Lovely ride, didn't feel any stress at all. Big%20smile

My fast one is on Sunday, just entered the 60km. Should have checked the weather for the week first. I think it might end up a bit like the 94.7 MTB race, ie - just a little muddy.

Best view in the house!

I've entered the Fast One MTB also - see you there! Look out for the new Candy Apple Green Niner Air 9 between my thighs - it should arrive today.

Let's see what the whole 29er broohaha is all about...

I must say the Nashua kit is nice. Big%20smile

I'm not sure what I'm riding as my 'dale shock is still in "Slaapstad" awaiting service. I suspect I'm be a ponce and end up borrowing a carbon hard tail for the race.

Cian (the younger step daughter) is doing her first 1/2 marathon. I hope she survives and enjoys it.

If you can throw your leg over a 21" you welcome to borrow the Spesh Epic you saw or an old RM9 I have lying about.

I remember Cian - waif like girl - she must have some impressive power to weight figures... Please wish her luck from me!
