So I was one of those unlucky enough to 'win' prize money in The Fast One. How long ago was the race? Nah I can't remember, either.

Anyway, if you 'win' prize money at this event, you get an envelope with a piece of paper in it, asking you to send your details to Len Aspeling, with a Telkomsa email address for his business, which appears to be STS Accounting.

You also get, for reasons entirely unclear to me, Lenny's cellphone number (you will see why in a second).

Don't go to too much trouble trying to get your 'prize money', because Len doesn't reply to the email address furnished. He doesn't answer that, not when he owes people money, you see.

So my view is that this is flippen schwak to say the least. I have had to call and email the non-responsive Lenny (who more and more, in my mind, resembles the Lenny in the great John Steinbeck novel, Of Mice and Men...you know what I mean) twice, that's 2 calls and 2 emails, neither of which has been returned. Then I contact the race office yesterday, and am promised an email byt the (surprisingly?) very helpful Jenny Green. However helpful, Jenny must have forgotten; I called the arce office again this morning and asked for Jenny to call back. Well I finally got my email, but no return call.

OH! Of course! And STILL no prize money. Surprise surprise.

That's the spirit Mampara. Coming 4th means you can spend more time training and less time on your knees in front of some dick called Len trying to get your money.

Very poor form I say. The ruse of 'security reasons' for the piece of paper is obviously to hide a cashflow problem in a badly run business.

Damn straight. I mean really, since when do you have to keep sucking, and I'm not talking about wheels here, way after the race is done?
