have standard XT rotors which have lots of surface area which means lots of contact with the pad.

 

Wind cutters look like this and only wiegh 88g. Not much braking surface here.

They don't have much braking surface when they are standing still but when they are rotating it's almost a solid piece of steel. I could be talking crap, I don't know. Why change from XT? For the weight?

 

 

 

if you want lightweight go for alu ones. They will not last long but they are lighter.
