Group set compatibilities

Hi everyone,

 

I would just like to know if SRAM STI's are compatible with shimano 10spd derailers and cassettes, and if it is would you recommend mixing the components till all the components can be changed.

 

If you don't recommend it, why not?

The Sram shifters cannot work with the shimano derailers because they work on a different pull ratio however a sram cassette is compatible with shimano and vice versa

With cassette yes, not with derailleur. BTW, Sram does not make STIs. Only Shimano makes them.
