Bibs. No question.

I started off on shorts 'cos I thought bibs were too radical. Once I got

my first pair of bibs, I have never worn shorts again. Bibs stay up and

don't have a string around your waist. They are incredibly comfortable

from a fit point of view.

The only drawback is the accessibility issue, but you get used to it.

the other option, of course, is known as "on-the-move relief". this, however, requires superior bike-handling ability, an understanding friend to help prevent you from falling over, the dexterity to be able to roll up the leg on your short, and - how shall i put this? - decent endowment?Wink

I must agree with all the coments on BIBS.

However, on a hot windless day on blacktop up a 5km climb, it can get much hotter than without the straps and "tummy/back warmer"

But we don't mention that - and shorts is not euro cool

Cape Storm is fantastic.  I have 6 pairs (at the price of 2 pairs of Santini/Assos)

The low cut front makes access to the pressure relief valve easy.

SwissVan this is a biker's thread... not a tri-thread sorry, triathletes (me included) know nothing of cycling clothing. Triathletes even wear arm warmers with sleevless shirts LOLLOLLOLLOL

Only if you Wink got hairy forearms, watching those arm hairs wave in the wind while TT can be distressing.

Normally would not run in bibs, tried (get it?) it only once one cold day....

oh yes...
any one in particular?
or is there only one type of Cape Storm bib?

Matrix is the top of the line.

You missed their sale. They had a -15% sale during the past Valentines weekend at all concept stores.

BTW, the cycling stores are normally cheaper then the concept stores as they will give discount,

i have 2 sets of bibs - can't really say which is more comfortable, but not in a hurry to go out and buy more ... both were gifts:

- a momentum kit that's pretty and girl-friendy (yay!) and very roady-y. i use it to match the tandem. like it, but not particularly more than shorts

- and a barlowworld kit that i got from the very nice people of subaru ... except that it's NOT girl-friendly at all, and when i enquired, the very nice manufacturers in italy said that they are unisex ... uhm ... maybe ... but not exactly comfortable for cycling.
