It doesn't HAVE to be full moon. But I would like to join if it is on a Fri or Sat eve. Will have to talk SWAMBO in to join me. I would not want to drag the tandem up breeds nek on my own.

A few questions.

1. Where is Breedt's Neck.? (I am from Pretoria)

2. What sort of distance are you talking about.?

3. Someone mentioned a climb. How difficult and how long.?

4. How technical is the ride.?(MTB or Road.?)(If MTB is there much single track.?)

I have been off my bike for some time and can, at the moment, only see with 1 eye so questions 2, 3 & 4 are reasonably important to me.

A few questions.

1. Where is Breedt's Neck.? (I am from Pretoria) North West in Hekpoort

2. What sort of distance are you talking about.? +-60kms

3. Someone mentioned a climb. How difficult and how long.? Overall ascent (if you only do the one side) +-600m' date=' most of which happens on a 4km climb

4. How technical is the ride.?(MTB or Road.?)(If MTB is there much single track.?) MTB, not technical. District road but recent rains have made the surface very rutted with lots of loose sand/stones etc

Thank you Nancy.

I am interested but a lot will depend on the date as I am not yet back on the bike yet after the series ( 7) of operations on my eye.

I will keep my one good eye on this thread.

By the way Thug, I have been meaning to ask you for a long time, whether you actually have experience of only having one eye. I have only been able to see with one eye for 10 months now and I can assure that having two eyes is really NOT A LUXURY.     Ouch
