I posted on a similar thread yesterday [ https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=44735&PID=700457#700457 ] when I drove through Beaufort West last year, and it seemed that the traffic officers had a field day with the Argus trekkies. They largely ignored the familiar/average road traffic and proceeded to practice Traffic Ordinances 101 on us. Checking your sobriety/seatbelt/licence/outstanding fines/reg plates/licence disks/roadworthy yada yada. There were quite a few of us waiting our turn to be "processed". To my thinking they are doing their job, but a little over zealous. Just do the right thing and deny them the satisfaction of fining you. Or for those criminally inclined, tape a R100 note to your rear reg plate and take your chances LOL

Mot sure whether this has been covered...... Geoff Bike Carriers made by Hanler Products are NOT interested in making brake/indcator number plate clusters. They do not really care whether we drive illegally. I got one for this year from Holdfast and it cost me a whole R650-00. Almost as much as fine would have been....... but I am legal!!!!!!!

It was covered, although you neglect to mention that Geof don't manufacture them due to a lack of demand, NOT because "they not really care whether we drive illegally"

It cost me R200 to make one for a friend's bike rack.

No, when I asked the lady at Hanler she said that she does not really care whether we drive illegally or not, they are making enough money selling the carriers alone.
