Sorry. I've had about 6 hours sleep this entire week, so I'm a little ragged by now. I'll buy you beer later or something and you'll feel much better.

could you pay  my overdue cellphone account rather??

Something else just occurred to me. People routinely paste the banks for ripping them off. I never do. But I also don't let the bank charge whatever they want when I do business with them (I'm in the process of wasting money on a car...bleh). I tell the bank what I am prepared to pay and if they don't like it or can't do it, then I don't do business with them. Try that next time you are in a bike shop and outraged at the price of your derailleur cable. YOU have a role to play in a free market economy too. You can't expect the govvamunt to do everything for you. Can you?

From what I understand quite a few people had explosive revelations diarrhoea after Sani2c.

Just my sani2c's worth.

i agree, the wholesales appear to be the main culprits - probably because they have a monopoly themselves which they abuse freely.

we're probably jumping on AM and FP because they are the personalities of the cycling industry.

That begs the question, who are the main wholesalers?? Who has the right to import (say) Shimano etc??  They are the names we should be bashing!

Dunno... I've asked these twits to pay me in beer and no luck, so I doubt they accept the same as payment... I am meeting Tim Lowry later today though, so I'll be sure to ask...

Have been lurking for awhile ;this site rocks BTW!

As a soon to be, buyer of a bicycle (once Two Oceans and Comrades is over) I thought it pertinent, to post my thoughts...

Apologies for my ignorance of the law BUT isn't price fixing against the law? And; surely , if you get together to fix prices; isn't that tantamount to actually wanting to commit a crime? Sorta like; I want to kill all my classmates and shoot them teachers down....sorry i wont really do it,since you've got my notes on the subject, written in scribbly handwriting?

As for my opinion on McLean et al ; I really don't give a rats @ss what they've done for the sport, you commit a crime do the friggin' time. Just because they may have been "someone" when they were in the sport doesn't justify squat IMHO.

Good points all Headhunter (do the crime do the time - unless you are Shaik)

I think the point that needs to be stressed is, we surely should not be gleefully watching these guys suffer. Schadenfruede, I think, is not a nice thing. Some people seem to be getting massive kicks out of watching these dudes suffer. And in any circumstance there are always mitigating  and aggravating circumstances, facts, etc. In mitigation, these okes have put their lives into the sport...

Intern you've made some good points

If guys don't like Cyclelab. Go somewhere else. They can charge what they want it is THEIR STORE. So stop crying over 20% higher this and 2.5% discount this. You don't like it, then go somewhere else.

As for price fixing, just leave it to the justice system to take it's course
