WRONG!, Italy is the Boksburg of Europe.

I'd love to see the tubes and BB bits etc being made.

You'd have to go to China to see that.

Not sure how lugged construction or hand craftsmanship makes a bike better. Somehow consider these to be obsolete practices...

Yip...cant fault the Italians.

Yes you can. Two words: Alfa Romeo.

The owners are always going on about passion and whatnot. Makes for great roadside conversation as you wait for the tow truck.

Intern...Alfa's are cool! They are really pretty cars.

As for the craftsmanship of Colnago...is China really a bad thing? I ride a Prince, and trust me there is no way on earth that bike is made in Italy. TORAYCA is the company that manufactures the carbon for Pinarello, and I really dont care where its made. Its still the hottest bike on the planet! (IMHO)

Come to think of it, Audi manufacture my other "Italian" toy...and I'm thankfull for it!

In fact I think all the bikes are made in Taiwan these days...with the exception of Bianchi.

Nah China's not a bad thing at all, my Spaz's come out of there somewhere as well. I really appreciate the quality of workmanship those okes are able to get out of 5 year old orphans.

The funny thing is that years ago the fastest bike in the world was made in South Africa by Aerodyne! I'm sure there was a really funny thread going somewhere in the UK about how the Lotus frames were in fact still manufactured in the UK...and if there were no problems with the SA made carbon super bikes, then I really dont have a problem with a carbon bike that comes out of China!
