..... thank you to the a$$holes in the bunch this morning that did not have the decency to show a big rock.  Yes, we punctured. And also thank you SOOOO much that not one of you asked us if we were OK or stopped with us just after the walmer location.  Are you so scared that we are not going to say that we are OK and that you have to stop to maybe help?

But no really, thank you. Dead

Did you shout to let them know that your punctured? if you did and that was the result then buddy I suggest you find another cycling group to ride with as they are not friends

They def heard us punctured as it was very loud and i even heard the guys saying "someone punctured".  The problem is, this is PE and cycling groups are few and far between.  This group are one of the only ones where they have a decent pace going.

We = Me and LPeens on tandem. I was paying attention and having a huge headlight on I wouldn't have hit it had I known what was coming up. No-one indicated. After we flatted (which was a pinch/blowout basically), some guys looked back but kept on going.

Alida, yes, the marine bunch.

Hah................come ride in the big smoke and then complain - nobody bothers to indicate issues in the club or groups I have ever ridden, even in races, its seldom shown.

Attitude here is "I am okay Jack - sort yourself out".!

A few weeks ago I punctured on Klipriver drive in Alberton (after hitting a pothole the size of an underground parking entrance) the bunch never indicated and never bothered to stop either - no problem, I am a big boy and I can easily sort it out - but as I was doing the bit, at least 6 cyclists rode past without even saying "HI" - I didnt expect them to greet or stop and enquire about my issue (although it would have been nice and I usually do so) - its just symptomatic of the "stuff you" attitude prevalent in SA in all walks of life - its sad, but get used to it.

NO this is defeatist !!! ...... lpeens is doing the right thing by bringing the groups unacceptable behaviour to their attention!

I had a similar incident with my group a while back and I subsequently made my feelings very clear. Last week I punctured and several riders stopped to help!!

Don't thank them, just take a 100 or so thumbnails with you on the next ride, and throw them every couple of KMs on the route. Just don't ride it yourself for a while.
