Mtunzini MTB trails?

I'm going to be in Mtunzini on the North coast of KZN for a few days next week and was wondering if anyone knows of good MTB trails in or around the area?

I have never been there before and would like to do some riding, so any suggestions are welcome..... also if there are any areas I should avoid please tell me as I'm likely to be riding alone.

DO NO RIDE ALONE. Holla trails in Ballito is legendary. www.hollatrails.co.za Not quite Mtunzini but about 60kays south. In Ballito ride there on your way through, as you drive past Ballito on the N2 to get to Mtunzini But seriously riding by yourself in the cane fields and general off road areas is seriously dangerous, the towns are mostly surrounded by rural areas and one gets lost super quickly.?

That been said if you find someone to ride with, ove to KZN, we are spoilt big time!! Enjoy your trip, if you need any other info just Holla!!(GetitLOLLOL

DEFINATLY dont ride alone there, we used to ride MX bikes in the forest there and around the surrounding areas and lets just say the locals are not very friendly. Stick to your holiday and forget about the MTB part of it.

Thanks mackiemoo... so my guess is you wouldn't encourage me to ride alone LOL

I do it in Joburg all the time so I guessed that KZN must be a bit tamer then Gauteng.. I'll check out the link Thumbs%20Up

I pack my MTB before the wife and kids!! KZN not so bad, but the more out of town, rural areas could be dodgy.

I take it Mtunzini would qualify as more out of town/rural?

I love this country, we have a beautiful country, shame we cannot enjoy it cause of safety. But I suppose we should be thankful for the handfull of places we have left.
