Had to drop my car off at the panelbeaters this morning in Pta West-ish, decided to take my bike and cycle home.

Forgot that a good bit of the route passes Marabastad and goes through the city centre - taxi heaven.

After nearly being taken out twice I decided the best form of defence was to be offensive-  road in the middle of the lane in front of the taxis, interestingly no issues after I started employing this method.

Probably not advisable but got me home

okes, you gotta look at this in perspective.

Wolfie, is 6ft 6 and built like a barn door !! AND he could kill you with his little pinkie, while eating sushi.

No donner, any taxi driving into him would have got hurt. He can feel safe in ANY lane.

We once had a hero on one of our morning rides fling some stones at a taxi's window.

It got ugly, we suddenly got chased by 2 taxi's.

I was hit by the one and had no idea what had happened.

When he stalled his taxi I ran up to the thing and kicked the rear panel.

The same TOSSER that threw the stones informed his swim coach at the gym (why he can't swim is beyond me)that it was MY action that caused all this to happen smiley5.gif smiley5.gif Anyways, we were chased down a dirt road,a friend and I ended up on a building site whilst the other blokes took off in a different direction.

TOSSER the hero ran off with that group.

My mate and I were chased and were threatened and were told we WILL get shot.

When I saw two dudes with guns, I thought we were toast.

They took the bike which was brand new, maybe 4 days old and loaded this into a very crowded taxi and drove off.

My mate walked home bike less and TOSSER the HERO still didn't own up.

I found out from other riders that he had thrown stones at the taxi's windscreen.

The most amazing thing here is that he (tosser) still though it to be quite amusing.

Moral of the story for me, just let them be, we will always be out numbered.

It's almost as criminal as tossing an empty goo packet under your car.
