Getting a job in the cycling industry.

Maybe someone can help me.

I want to find a job somewhere within the cycling industry.

I'm 27 and have experience in a number of fields and an advertising degree. I am currently running a small environmental company but i have decided that life is too short to spend doing something your heart isn't in and wondering everyday, "why am i doing this?"

I love bikes and would really love to get involved in cycling and so i thought i would post and see if any one could help me find a job or point me in the direction of one they know of.

I have a good understanding of all things bike but what i lack knowledge wise, i make up for with my passion and enthusiasm for the sport.

So if you can help please do. Any advice or job offers (pushing my luck?) will be appreciated.

Thanks

It is nice to see that I am not the only one! I am 33, IT professional....At first I thought it was a mid-life crisis but now I realize that I am in the wrong field...Just like Knievel, my passion is within the cycling world....

Lets start building bike together rhalim!!! ha ha.

Any investors?

My cousin and I are looking at refurbishing bikes as I do believe that new prices are just too much for the beginner/intermediate cyclist.

We have a project lined up just to test the market and the demand for used/refurbished cycles. Hopefully this will lead to better and greater things.

Could work if you can get the used bikes for a good price.

Why not buy them from the township at R300? Most, more than likely, won't even need to be refurbished!

And you will be giving money to the needy and under privileged.

I think this is a great way of spreading the wealth in SA. HA HA
