Hey guys,

I am in the market to buy me a new bike, hopefully a dual suspension.

I have come across Wheeler, with some nice models for decent prices.

I have just come back into cycling after a LONG absence, and while my knowledge of bikes are not too bad, I have absolutely no clue about the Wheeler brand.

Is it any good?

my dad has a hornet 10 and my uncle rides the falcon 20

they have no problems with it whatsoever!!

just dont think to many shops stock them (onty ever seen them at solomons??) so if something happens to the frame they are probably the only ones who can sort it out...

They were ridden by Team Colourpress/Cycling News a few years back (the road bikes) and by the German pro team Weisenhoff.

They seem to be pretty good, but have only seen them sold by Solomons.

They were quite popular a few years back and you see alot of the older versions on the road.

Thanks guys, yah was looking at either the hornet 20 or ramp 20. but still undecided.

I believe solomons are the importers, and im not sure if they are a proper cycling shop (PLEASE NO OFFENCE!), but a gift shop, so im also worried about support? I could be 100% wrong!

Others may disagree, but I've always had excellent service from Solomon's (they now have a shop in Woodmead).

I had a spoke come loose on my Bontrager wheel just before I took the bike down to CT for the Argus - they trued the wheel the same day, and apologised that they could not do it while I waited, but that I would have to collect it after lunch!

They've always 'gone the extra mile' for me - though I bought my Trek from them, and not a wheeler.
