Should the Hub be a "Cycling Only" Forum

This is not a new discussion point. Whenever things get tough or heated in discussions somebody invariably comes up with the remark "but this is a cycling forum, religion/politics/personal issues etc etc ect should not feature here"

In his interview with Sean Badenhorst published in Bicycling of April 2008 Admin said:-

 

"The Hub is a Community of people drawn together by a common passion for all things cycling" 

 

That is why a forum like Chit Chat is still there as cyclists are people too that need to talk about the newest petrol price increase, taxes, interest rates, ask for advice on an iPod/iTrip/cellphones/computers etc etc ect.

 

Before voting one must seriously consider that if the Hub is declared "CYCLING ONLY" no more sharing of new pets, grandchildren, congratulations on birthdays, achievements, no more personal notifications, no more sharing of new toys, no more "NCR" postings etc etc etc will be allowed. It will become a sterile lifeless "CYCLING ONLY" environment where only cycling per se will be discussed.

Maybe the only thing that should not be allowed is the persistant whining when things do not go their way, life is too short for b1tching and complaining if you dont like it...dont do it....if you dont like it....make an attemot to fix it or help. Thats all, oh happy days!!

I voted No, cause it's nice to chat about other stuff as well.

 

However...do agree that cycling related topics and discussions should be moderated strictly and kept seperate from non cycling topics.
