johnw Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 It was good to see some hand cyclists with a decent red flag warning mounted on top of pole/aerial on their recumbent 3 wheelers. Think this should be compulsory. With them starting up front, it is quite scary as the pack suddenly opens up to pass.

Velouria Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 We caught the leaders near UCT, and they stuck with us until we got to Wynberg Hill. They realy were motoring. But it is a bit weird having to keep an eye out for them by looking down at the tar. We also had that guy in the yellow BEN recumbant - he rode away from us at Simonstown.

Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 A few things that should be compulsoru. 1) Flags of anything moving thats below 1 metre high i.e had cyclists and recumbents. 2) Ban bloody MP3 players with ear phones from Bunch riding!! Those guys have noidea what happening around them. They don'tlook around and they can't hear.. 3) timing mats should be at the finishline.. rant over

We had one **** who had the volume turned so loud that I could hear the rave music 3 bikes back. Thankfully he got dropped early.
