No body has ever won an SA Motorsport title in a Tata' date=' but how many people have won an SA cycle title on a Raleigh?

 

Lets start.........Malcome Lange, David George, Jaques Fullard, Tiaan Kanemeyer, Kevin Evans, Cherise Taylor and probably a whole host of other people I don't know.

 

Plus, if you were to count total wins in any SA race since Raleigh came on the scene, I rekon Raleigh will be right up there with the highest number.

 

If these bikes are good enough for the pros, they are good enough for us.

Nothing wrong with the topend bikes, just change the freaking name. Would rather ride a similar bike with no name.

 

The fact is for 98 % of SA Raleigh =

I used to ride an Alu raleigh' date=' got a bit bored with it and upgraded to a felt, I felt (no pun)that the felt had a significantly stiffer frame. I used to feel the raleigh snaking around when I sprinted or squishing under my peddles when climbing out of the saddle. The Felt is rock solid and takes off like a rocket. I couldn't disagree with you more.  I think one of Raleighs strengths is exactly the components onthe bikes.  COmpared to some like Scott who put there own brand stuff on it, Raleigh always put quality on the bike.

 

Also, my (now training) bike is a alu Raleigh and it's rock solid.  No flexing and I'm a big boy.  I honestly can't agree with you there.

 

Just look how beautiful it looks here next to mr Gesink and company (it's the one leaning on the fence!).  Like it belongs in the pro peloton Wink

Looks like an RC3000 2006 - I have one of them, awesome little bike. Can't say I've noticed flexing, but then again I ride a Dual Suspension MTB most of the time, so I would crave a little more "softness" on my Road bike LOL.

Thats the whole point, whether its a Raleigh or a Colnago its honestly not going to make a difference. This whole thread is such a waste of time because we should all be smart enough to realise this.

 

People go on about the Raleigh carbon frames breaking, but go to Roadbike Review and Weight Weenies forums and there are people bitching and moaning there about their Pinarello's and Looks breaking. Sh!t happens to all brands.

In todays world competition for the customers money is fierce. No company can afford to make sub-standard products and expect the customer to buy it. So there is nothing wrong with the Raleigh brand.

You buy what you like, I have no hassel buying a Raleigh. Just need a bit of cash to buy mine. I did my first Argus on a old Microsoft PeltonBig%20smile
