And that' date=' gentlemen, is that. I fully agree, KF.

I think Bell got a bit distressed by the personal nature of some of Porky's comments. The bits about juice and ego and... seem to get up Porky's nose. Oh well. But no need to get personal back.

Take it from whence it comes.

Lightly salted for me.

Naa, I dont take it personally, but for the record, I never mentioned anything about dope, drugs, weed, crack, injections, white liquid or Operation Puerto relating to this thread.!

Quite right, you did not, about drugs, anyway. I just meant that the subject of LA, including all those things seem to... well , you know.... See below.

" Thats his problem.

Nobody forced him to attempt a come back, he did so of his own free will.

I would have no issue if he just kept his ego in

check and came and rode the race, but NO, he has to blow his trumpet

wherever he gos, he thought he would pitch up and everyone would fall

over themselves because he graced the Giro with his presence - well he

got a rude awakening, he is not the Alpha and Omega of the cycling

world anymore."

It seems to me that the press is blowing his trumpet.

I think when he broke his collarbone, he changed his plans and is now only using the Giro to get to top form for the TdF.  he is not riding to full potential at the moment and we might see a different rider next week or so.

I still think his main aim is the TdF and he is aiming high there

I knew what you were refering to bud, I just wanted clarity on the "dope" bit, but I stand by my statement, its my opinion.

There will never be consensus regarding LA, (except to state the obvious that he is getting grey hair), some like him some hate him, some dont care, its a fruitless argument on any site actually and has been raging on umteen blogs since 99.Big%20smile personally, I think there are more interesting and better athletes in todays peleton than LA ever was or will be, the world has moved on since he was king pin, living on borrowed time and yesterdays dreams.!

He sure is the root of many a heated discussion. Even among non-cyclists.

What channel is the best one to watch the Giro on, and times. Can't seem to find it.

Theres only one channel broadcasting the Giro. Go to RAI on channel 430, its on the DSTV specialist bouquet. Starts at around 3.45 - then you too can watch lance get his butt kicked...............again.!LOL

I hope he gets his butt seriously kicked at the Giro, so much he's too embarassed to even think of riding TDF. Then he can be mocked him in future threads as a loud mouthed, suspected doper, womaniser, wife cheater, cradle snatcher attention seeker, has been and wanna comeback that failed. LOL

Looks like some of you forgot the guy broke he's collarbone not so long ago......of cause he is not in peak form....first major tour back.....broke he's collarbone....focusing mainly on the Tour!!What do you expect the guy to do???<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

At that level and in those mountains if you lose 2% of your prep during the last 6weeks before a tour most guy's will look a lot worse than what Armstrong did yesterday and he had to take almost 2 weeks off from serious training!!!!Come on people now suddenly you want to judge how good he is on this??

Anybody remember Ullrigh doing the Giro as prep....man was he strong in the Giro that year!!LOLDidn?t do that bad in the Tour did he?

So what is Cunego's excuse??

Ha, no need, he has already exhausted all of the above excuses, we are just awaiting the "wanna comeback that failed" outcome.Big%20smile

nochain said what I wanted to say.

I have always and will always be a Lance fan.  I think its brave of him to make a come back when there is a chance he won't be nearly as good as he was before.  I really hope he does well at the TDF!

I agree 100% with nochain........he broke his colarbone 6 weeks ago....what did you all expect??? Even he admitted that he will not be able to compete. Regardless, it GREAT to watch him again, even if he's suffering!! GO LANCE!!!! smiley36.gif smiley36.gif smiley17.gif smiley17.gif smiley17.gif
