I see that Andrew Mclean entered for both categories 40-44 and 45-49, wonder what his idea is behind this.

He simply feels like having some long rides over the week-end and yes he has the ability to compete at both levels

Hey Mallo, how's the knee ?  I never properly thanked you for all your help and advice at the Tour, mine almost completely healed Thumbs%20Up and it was really nice meeting you in person as well

for those who don't know I had a very sore meniscus knee ligament at Panorama tour and on the Saturday's stage Mallo sommer took some ice from his empty coke glass to put on my knee Clap

45-49's are racing on Saturday - his age category (if I'm not mistaken)

40-44's are racing on Sunday - probably to help his younger team mates.

If a team is split up into different age cat's, let them race there cat's and then drop the whole team down and cause chaos, that team will not win the fairplay award.

I don't think fairplay awards are what everyone is travelling all the way to Oudtshoorn for. I think it's medals.

I'm a bit silly, but as I'd never competed in them before, I was under the impression that Provincials and SA's were for individuals. Unfortunately at our provincials I found out that teams worked to set their guys up. This diminished the race for me. Because it was no longer about the best and strongest rider, it was about the best team. However, it was good to see some teams take a beating from one or two genuine strong riders who blew them away.

My 2c worth.

Sour grapes!

Not at all.

But there are reasons why they have TTT's, and then just TT's. It's always the TT's that show true form. You can never really see the true form of an individual in a TTT.

Or am I mistaken?
